One single rule directed the production of this set of thirteen tracks and nebulo's first release on Stomoxine records:

no other source was to be used than those found in audio cassettes.

 

The album defies aesthetics and styles, oscillating between magic juju, pre-Columbian catacombs speleology,

feral polyrhythms, Orient-Occident romance and humour-terrorism.

"L'été est l’occasion de rattraper son retard au niveau cinéma, lecture et bien évidemment musique quand on s’occupe d’un webzine

qui parle de... musique.

Ce soir j’ai quasiment fait un hat trick.

Après avoir regarde et apprecie le "Man of Steel" autour du personnage ultra sympathique et sexy de superman,

j’ai décide de profiter enfin du "Fatal Cosmos" de Shape2, comme si un lien évident m’avait emmené de l’un vers l’autre.

Et pourtant "Fatal Cosmos" est la bande son d’une histoire, d’un feuilleton, mais c’est vièrge d’image et de mot que j’ai

décide de me laisser absorber par cette bande son qui pourrait tout aussi bien etre celle d’un voyage intergalactique,

semé d’embuche mais aussi de moment d’un quietude quasi monastique.

Des plages synthétiques nous bercent avant d’accueillir des rythmes effrayants comme une rencontre avec des asteroides,

des bruits hybrides comme des rencontres avec des humanoïdes. Le voyage est étonnant et totalement absorbant,

les plages étant comme des créateurs d’horizon, comme si le chant des sirènes nous amenait toujours plus loin.

Alors si je ne connais pas la scenario du feuilleton qui est habillé par cette musique (un univers a la Quentin Dupieux serait pas mal),

je suis convaincu que cette musique pourra vivre sans, si on prend la peine de prendre son temps,

et de lézarder sur ces morceaux qui ne demandent qu’à nous posséder.

Voyage au bout de l’envie."

That Can't Be Good by Toomuchofthat is now available on Stomoxine records. Toomuchofthat is a

noise / ambient project of Tana Barbier, ex Louise Mitchels guitarist, now electroacoustic composer

(he even had his DEM in Pantin) living in Mexico. Under the influence of this megalopolis, of Aphex Twin,

of Autechre, of Alva Noto, of Mika Vainio or of KK Null, of Otomo Yoshihide and all this japonese scene, noisy,

experimenter, he's going to create a music more rhythmic, turned more and more to noise and electroacoustic.

 

On this way he composed Aramara under his true name. Toomuchofthat is his discharge valve of overflow

of noise and ambient. In this album, in this improvisations, we found saturated waves of sound,

electroacoustic sections, electronica beats, ambient intermissions, rough sounds, fully sounds,

acid sounds and soft sounds.

New album on Stomoxine: Einstein by Oso El Roto. Einstein is a 17min and 39sec piece recorded by 3 computers simultaneously,

and scattered all around the flat of Daevid Loyza aka Oso El Roto. Some guitars, songs, hoover, flutes, sound effects, shouts.

The three recording sources are spacialized so that we hear the sounds escape on one side and reappear on the other

by changing space. To listen with headphones or well established in the middle of your stereo sound system.

Stéphane Lechit (former Mygük) comedian et dancer in the company La Ligne De Désir here met 2 members of familha Artús:

Thomas Baudoin & Nicolas Godin. With synths, guitars and percussions, they created improvisations pretty noisy with some

echoes of Silver Apples or Faust. These improvisations are joined on 2 albums, gathering together 2 series of improvisations

recorded the 06th of june 2011. The first part is mixed by Thomas Baudoin and the second by Nicolas Godin. These 2 albums

are also available on the label Pagans to form that way the third episode of the Laboratòri.
